Leland Rocchio is the President and owner of Frio Construction Consulting, a Professional Services firm providing construction litigation support and owner’s representation services in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) Industry.
As a 28-year veteran in the commercial construction industry, Leland, also a Ph.D., combines his considerable experience with his academic credentials to provide trustworthy and objective analysis. His unique background is the reason he is skilled at determining causes, impact, and accountability. Very few experts have the combined experience of working in the field on large-scale construction projects, serving in more than one executive leadership role, and teaching construction science at more than one university.
Most recently, Leland served as President of an ENR Top 300 general contractor. He not only understands the unique challenges of heading up a large construction company, but he’s personally worked on-site for over a decade where he was either the Project Manager, Superintendent, or Project Engineer for multiple large-scale projects including, but not limited to hotels, a manufacturing facility, and a corporate headquarters. His in-depth experience includes seven years of leading business development strategies and efforts for an ENR Top 20 general contractor.
Leland has gained his knowledge from working on or leading work on over $1 billion in construction projects.
On the academic front, Dr. Rocchio is trusted at multiple universities and currently serves on the faculty at Texas A&M University and the University of Oklahoma where he teaches graduate-level construction science courses.
